Refund policy

This policy explains refunds and cancellations for paid sponsor placements on https://www.thestartupfish.com. It forms part of our Terms of use.
Monthly sponsor subscriptions
Most spots are billed monthly through Dodo Payments. You can cancel anytime from the billing portal linked on your account page. Cancellation stops future charges. Your placement typically remains active until the end of the current paid billing period.
We do not refund partial months when you cancel mid-cycle, unless mandatory consumer law in your country requires otherwise.
Sand placement (one-time outbid)
The sand spot is a one-time payment. All sand payments are final. There is no refund when someone outbids you, when you choose to stop advertising, or when your time on the sand ends because a higher bid was confirmed.
EU withdrawal right
Placement is a digital service that starts immediately when payment is confirmed and your listing goes live. At checkout you explicitly request immediate delivery and accept that you lose the 14-day withdrawal right where the law allows that waiver. Mandatory consumer rights that cannot be waived still apply.
When we do refund
We will refund or credit you when:
- You were charged twice for the same placement by mistake.
- Payment was confirmed but we failed to activate your placement within a reasonable time and cannot fix it promptly.
- Another refund is required by mandatory law.
Removals and chargebacks
If we remove your listing because you broke the Terms, that does not create a refund. Chargebacks without a legally required basis may lead to removal and account restrictions.
How to request a refund
Email info@pertti.studio with your account email, the spot you rented, approximate payment date, and a short description. We respond as soon as we reasonably can.
